During this summer one of our members actually took the plunge and traded his sports bike in for a SuperMoto; a KTM in fact. Many have talked about doing this, trading in for a bike with less power and speed to save the licence yet one capable of delivering as many thrills while looking sharp doing so.

Laid out in front of me I have 3 fantastic ways to pass the time: The hot off the press TT-3D film, Duke Video’s annual TT review DVD, this one of the 2011 event, and for those who prefer to actually be able to see the scenery as it passes, Overland magazine.

Filed under: Motorsports , Videos , Motorcycle , Celebrities , Off-Road Following up on the two-wheeled slow-motion theme in 2012, Red Bull is highlighting two-time motocross champion James Stewart and his factory Yamaha race bike. We’ve already seen a couple of Honda-mounted MotoGP riders at 1,000 frames per second, so it only seems appropriate to see what super slow motion looks like on the dirt

MCE British Superbike 2011 - Round 11 Silverstone #2

The 3.6m Silverstone circuit was the setting for the penultimate round of the British Superbikes and based in the original paddock complex this time. With such a big circuit the racefans are well spread out making it appear to be sparsely attended with Luffield and Woodcote still the most popular spot for spectators. Talking of Woodcote, standing by the armco at the pitlane entry just watching them come through just feet away in a 4th gear drift is one of the highlights of the year forgetting the fact i’m there to take photo’s! The superbikes produced some close racing again with no real drama’s this time or visits to the gravel trap, showing you have to be consistently winning rather than just being consistent, I don’t envy these boys for the pressure they are under with this new system.
