Dave Molyneux Confirms That He Will Return To Racing For 2012 Isle Of Man TT Races

Sidecar legend Dave Molyneux, the 14-time Isle of Man TT Races winner, will be returning to the grid in 2012. Molyneux, who first competed at the TT in 1985, will again team up with world champion passenger Patrick Farrance. The pair last competed together in 2010, finishing second in the Sure Sidecar Race 2 and will again be racing the Kawasaki backed ZX-6R machine.

Stroud’s Dan Cooper and the Cornwall-based Centurion Racing team enjoyed a strong TT race debut together as they took a fine 38th place in the opening Dainese Superbike race. Competing on a Superbike for the first time and in his first six-lap race, Dan got quicker and quicker as the race wore on also posting a new personal best lap of the Mountain Course at 118.502mph.

Mixed weekend for Nutt at Croft Marty Nutt endured a mixed weekend of racing at the latest round of the British Supersport Championship with 14th place in race 1 at Croft being offset by a retirement in race 2. The nutttravel.com/Dawn/T&G Racing rider had been hoping to take another haul of points at one of his favourite venues but after taking a solid finish in the opening race on Saturday, brake fade put paid to his hopes in Sunday’s feature race and he had little option other than to retire.

GBmoto Racing And Tristan Palmer Take Third At Brands Hatch

It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for GBmoto Racing, in the opening round of the 2011 Metzeler National Superstock 1000 series, at Brands Hatch this Easter weekend. Tristan Palmer finished third to secure the team’s first podium in the main series. Unfortunately, David Johnson was caught up in someone else’s crash at Druids corner on lap one and did not complete the race.
