Fabrizio Edges Out Spies at End of Misano Q1

Michel Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) slammed in two quick laps in rapid succession at the end of today’s Misano Q1 to end up with the provisional pole at the Misano World Circuit. The Italian’s time of 1 minute 37.016 seconds was good enough to edge out Ben Spies (Yamaha World Superbike) from the top slot, after the Texan rookie had headed the standings almost throughout.

Philippaerts Savours First 2009 MX1-GP Victory

Yamaha Monster Energy MX Team’s David Philippaerts claimed his first win of the season and his third on the YZ450FM at a sun-kissed and busy Mallory Park circuit for the British Grand Prix and the seventh round of fifteen in the MX1-GP World Championship. 35,000 spectators witnessed the reigning champion score results of 1-2 in the motos to scale the top step of the podium, giving Yamaha their fifth victory of 2009.

Michel Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) takes home 36 important points having visited the podium twice, with a worthy second and third place finish in the races held today at Miller Motorsports Park in Salt Lake City. Michel’s team-mate Noriyuki Haga, who had difficulty finding the right feeling with his Ducati 1198 this weekend, had a more difficult day and closed the two races in ninth and eighth position

Michel Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) and Ben Spies (Yamaha World Superbike) shared the wins in an exciting fifth round of the Hannspree FIM Superbike World Championship at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. 118,000 spectators witnessed Fabrizio’s maiden Superbike win in race 1 and Spies making amends in race 2 for his first race disappointment, when his Yamaha ran out of fuel at the final corner
