Peter Hickman was impressive throughout the weekend as BSB returned to Donington Park for the 10 th round of the championship.He qualified the Quay Garage Honda fourth on the grid and was running with the leaders in fifth place in the early stages of the race but at mid-distance he started to drop back with a tyre problem.

The weekend turned into a display of domination from the Swan Yamaha duo of Tommy Hill and Michael Laverty which meant the rest fighting for the last step of the podium at best. Saturday’s race was the leftovers from Oulton Park and it was all to play for if you wanted to be in the showdown top six especially for Brookes, Rutter and Kiyonari. With the showdown rules as they are Hopper could afford to sit out the weekend even though it was a triple header and give his recent injury a good chance to heal ready for the shoot-out. In both supersport races Ben Wilson was back on top form to stop the recent domination from Alistair Seeley to halt him chipping away at his points lead.
It was a tale of woes for Danny Buchan in Superstock 1000 having got punted off track to then rejoin down in 5th and then a red flag spoiling his fight back, he now has an uphill battle on his hands against an on form Richard cooper to pull his 20 points deficit back with 3 rounds remaining.
