The first major test of the 2010 season is over and for all accounts it looks like British fans will have a lot to look forward to when the new season gets underway at Phillip Island, Australia on the 28th March. The 2010 season will feature no fewer than seven Brits in the World Superbike Championship with six of those seven riders campaigning for full factory or factory-supported teams. Johnny Rea will start his third season with the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda team and second season in the World Superbike class and the young Ulsterman from Ballyclare will be hoping that he can add to his impressive tally of victories that he amassed in his debut season and have a shot at the World title

The cast of this particular road movie has gathered in Santiago, Chile for a Globebusters motorcycle tour of Patagonia. Together we’re a bunch of random bikers of varying ages and skills, thrown together by the desire to ride through Patagonia, one of the most beautiful and remote areas of the planet.

Whilst wandering the Dirt Bike Show this year I was accosted by a PR lady who wanted Londonbikers.com to get to know the Scorpion product range and I immediately jumped at the chance after spending the race season watching Dave Wood winning the KTM RC8 cup while wearing a Scorpion helmet. Most bikers respond with “Eh?” or “is that the one with the inflatable bit?” when asked about them, so it is definitely about time Londonbikers.com brought the capital’s attention to them.

Lou and Dan’s Eurotrip 2009

Friday, December 18, 2009

It’s not quite a Nick Sanders or Ewan McGregor adventure, but the difference here is that you can do this yourself. It’s a short story about two (fairly) normal, 26 year old lads; Dan and Lou, who both ride R1s and chose to do something a little different for their summer and how it has changed everything
