Post Classic records tumbled on the opening day of the 2010 Manx Grand Prix sponsored by visitisleofman.com, with both Michael Dunlop in the Senior Post Classic and Chris Palmer in the Junior Post Classic races posting lap and race records. Perfect conditions all around the course were reported as a packed grandstand settled down for the first day’s racing on the Isle of Man.

Fulton Awarded Junior Race Win After Red Flag Incident At Manx Grand Prix

Phil Taubman, Clerk of the Course, described conditions as perfect for the second race day at the 2010 Manx Grand Prix, sponsored by visitisleofman.com, although a diesel spill meant that riders were warned about lack of adhesion from the Gooseneck to the 26th Milestone on the mountain.
Wayne Kirwan and David Lumsden were scheduled away first but misfortune hit David Lumsden when he failed to leave the start line. However he was later able to start his machine.

Following a report that Simon Fulton, the winner of the shortened 2010 Manx Grand Prix race, was not observing the waved yellow flags during an incident at Signpost Corner, the Manx Motorcycle Club have reviewed the incident, confirmed the report and have issued a time penalty to Fulton.

Jenny Tinmouth has finished in 18 th position overall, and fifth of the cup competitors in the latest round of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship held over the recent Bank Holiday weekend at Cadwell Park. The Manx Motorcycle Club, organisers of the Manx Grand Prix, regret to announce the death of a second rider at todays Manx Grand Prix. Both riders were involved in a racing accident at Alpine Cottage on the second lap of the Junior race shortly before 11am. The race was later abandoned.
