Gino Rea Suffers Injury On First Day At Phillip Island

Gino has crashed in the first qualifying session at Phillip Island and torn tendons in his thumb. He had set his fastest laptime before the crash but was bumped down to 11th for the provisional grid position. Tomorrow there is free practice in the morning and final qualifying in the afternoon.
