Walk the Walk - Moonwalk 2010 Hyde Park London Breast Cancer Charity Marathon

May 15th saw another marathon walk to raise money for fighting breast cancer, this time sponsored by Playtex (you know, lift and separate) and started at midnight with the last walker arriving back at the Hyde Park HQ some 11 hours later. Several members of LB volunteered to help out with the marshalling, and despite some last minute complications enough came along to make a valuable contribution to the event. Both Charly and MikeM9 deserve special praise for taking up the reigns at short notice, and successfully leading the team

MCE Insurance BSB 2010 Round 4 Cadwell Park #1

Ryuichi Kiyonari finally conquered the Cadwell Park circuit where victory, even in his two title winning years had eluded him with a stylish performance in the opener to the fourth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship. The Japanese rider however was denied the opportunity of a winning double when his bike was sidelined on the warm-up lap by a technical problem ahead of the second race which was won by his HM Plant Honda team-mate Josh Brookes.

AirAsia MotoGP Press Conference Lords Cricket Ground

Wednesday 16th June saw the AirAsia British MotoGP pre-race press conference take place at Lords Cricket Ground near St John’s Wood in London. As customary it’s a chance for the press to talk to the riders about their seasons so far and what they reckon their chances are for the up coming British round of the MotoGP which this year is being held at the newly modified Silverstone circuit

Maxxis UK Motocross Round 4 Lyng, Norfolk

Although he scored three confidence boosting wins, Evgeny Bobreshev (CAS Honda) didn’t have things his own way in the MX1 class. His CAS Honda Team partner, Gareth Swanepoel put in by far his strongest ride of the season with 3-2-2 performances to close in on Sword’s current second place after the CCM rider had no answer to the speed of the CAS pairing, plus current Champion, Brad Anderson (PAR Honda) on the day. MCE Insurance BSB 2010 Round 5 Mallory Park

Ryuichi Kiyonari put his bid for the MCE Insurance British Superbike crown firmly back on track with a brilliant winning double in the fifth round at Mallory Park where he headed off his HM Plant Honda team-mate Josh Brookes in each of the races. The Japanese rider was at his best, lapping consistently and strongly, as he moved into fourth place in the standings while Brookes was not complaining too much about being second best as his points haul capitalised on a day of misfortune for series leading Tommy Hill.

SPEA FIM World Trials Event - Fort William June 2010

After two years in the planning the UK leg of the 2010 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship finally took place at Nevis Range, Fort William over 25/26/27 June. The superb venue that sits in the shadow of Ben Nevis proved to be the perfect setting for round four of this year’s global series, with the inaugural three day event being declared a real success across the board

Monster Isle of Man TT 2010

Ian Hutchinson made history on Friday when he became the first man to win 5 TT Races in a week after clinching a shortened 4-lap Dainese Senior race in what was a dramatic day’s racing on the Isle of Man. Hutchinson took the lead from the start and when close challengers John McGuinness and Conor Cummins retired and crashed respectively he was able to ease off in the closing stages to come home 37.77 seconds clear of Ryan Farquhar and Bruce Anstey.
