Keith Amor recorded yet another win on the Irish roads at the weekend when he won the Open race at the Athea road races on Sunday. The Wilson Craig Racing Honda rider also finished a close second in the Grand Final and third in the Supersport 600cc race to make it a successful day’s racing and ensure his strong 2009 season continued.

VIDEO: Triumph Daytona motorcycle assembled from Lego bricks

Further proof that you can literally fashion anything if given access to enough interconnecting Lego bricks is this Triumph Daytona 1200 motorcycle. The machine has apparently been on display for quite some time at Legoland Windsor in Berkshire, England and is obviously assembled from thousands of individual pieces. We especially like the detailed engine, which is complete with linkages for the carbs and throttle cables.
As cool as this creation is, how much better would it be with a ? Of course, having a full-scale building-block motorcycle would also require a matching helmet. May we suggest ? for a video of the LEGO Triumph Daytona on its display stand and for more automotive-themed Lego madness.

Vespa, the famous scooter manufacturer from Italy, has found a very funny way of promoting their 125cc four-stroke model using the King Kong theme. Of course, this is a distorted version in which the beast fells in love with the machine rather than with the beautiful girl, leaving us wondering how will the gorilla commute on that thing through the urban jungle. Or is the beast only going to polish the Vespa and then stare at it for hours and hours? See the video after the (…)

Design guru Oberdan Bezzi has come up with a very interesting Bavarian adventure touring rendering, one that is imagined to replace the current BMW R 1200 GS. The Italian designer sees in the R 1250 GS as a totally new motorcycle to take around the world, one with sport-touring credentials and sharper looks. The bigger Boxer engine is supposed to develop 120hp, while the bike weighs 18kg (39.68 lbs) less than the current selling one and relies on totally different weight distribution and (…)

MotoGP has long inspired competing manufacturers to implement racing technologies on their road-going motorcycles, but nobody believed (although everybody thought at the idea at least once) that a MotoGP bike will ever be turned into a road-legal one and be sold to those willing to pay the big bucks. Ducati was the first, and currently only, to break the ice in 2007 with the Desmosedici RR, which was derived from the Desmosedici GP6 Grand Prix motorcycle, and in 2009 the world is still (…)
